This is the website for the Zelda Movie, a project by fans of the game series to create a Zelda film based around the events of the Unification War.
The Unification War has been referenced, mentioned and depicted in various Zelda games ever since A Link To The Past, and whilst that means that the events have almost been perfectly mapped out, Nintendo hasn't made any effort to create a game with the war as its theme.
Which is where this project comes in. We think its the perfect material for a film, with advantages over basing a film on a specific game such as getting the details to match the pre-concieved imagery, and it gives us more of a creative licence. Which means that we can go all out in order to provide the best possible Zelda based film that we can.
And as it's being created by fans, for fans, that means that you can get involved in the project as well!
We have our very own forums created with the specific intention of being a place where you can share your thoughts on the movie. Where you can share what you would want to see in it, what you wouldn't, how you imagine these events to look, contribute in musical or editorial ways, or just chill out with other people with similar intrests to you.
So, with that, i present to you the Zelda Movie site.

Common Questions and Answers
These are the questions that we most commonly get asked. Take the time to skim through and see if your question is answerd here before you email us, as it saves us time answering and stops us all going mad having to repeat ourselves ;)
Can I be in the film?
Whilst it's fantastic that we've been getting so much support and interest in terms of people wanting to be involved, at this stage we've decided not to promise a part to anyone untill the script is finished and finalised and we know what parts there are and everything that goes along with it. If you sign up to the site mailing list then you'll recieve an email when significant advances have been made toward the film that you should be aware of (such as the scripts completion), as and when that happens. Bear in mind what I keep saying about this taking as long as it needs to and that this could take years to get fully completed as a result.
When will the film/script be finished?
I can't really give an answer to this. As i've said countless times previously, i'm not going to rush this and risk ruining it for the sake of getting it all done asap. If creating a fantastic story requires years to do then that's what i'm willing to take. The film will take as long as it needs to be as good as we all want it to be, and consequently I can't give anyone any information as to when it'll be completed. I can guess that it'll take at least a few years to get everything completed, if not just the script.
