Film Props.

This section of the site will be updated regularly with images and descriptions of all the home-made props that will be appearing in the film. Please note that not all the props featured have been fully completed in a way that we'd find acceptable have on film, and as such many of them will under go changes and alterations before they are actually used in the film.

19/03/08: Great Sword

This prop is not based on any particular sword in the series, it's just a standard sword Gustaf uses to replace his dagger. I suppose, length wise it is similar to the Biggoron sword.

This is not Gustaf's staple weapon, as towards the end he wields the far superior Picori Sword.

This is the Biggoron sword from ocarina of Time. it has also appeared as a secret trading quest item in the two GBC Oracle games.

While in this image it doesn't look particularly long, it is infact around a metre and a half in length. It is worth mentioning that this was the actual length of great swords in medieval times.

04/03/08: Hookshot

This prop was the most ambitious to make, but I think we pulled it off at the end. The hookshot is the spring loaded chain that has served Link in many Zelda games, including A Link tyo the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of time and Wind Waker.

Like the hookshots in these Zelda titles, the hook on the end is on an extendable chain: however is not spring loaded, and must be extended manually.

The hookshot as it appears in 'Ocarina of Time'. Our Hookshot design is based off this one.

...Well it's more of a hybrid of Ocarina of times Hookshot and Twilight Princess' Clawshot. This picture shows it with the hook retracted...

...And extended. The actual full length of the chain is around 4/5 metres, so long enough for various things.

To actually get the chain to shoot out as it does in the games, we will use a combination of clever camera angles, and CGI.
